    Are you looking for a rewarding way to contribute? Consider joining our dedicated team at Nature’s Nook! We have flexible options for volunteering:  Contact:  Cathy Harrington, naturesnook@flanwr.org

    1. Half-Day Shifts: Spend your mornings or afternoons immersed in the natural beauty of our refuge. Help with store operations, assist visitors, and share your love for wildlife.

    2. Full-Day Commitment: Dive deeper into the experience! Spend a full day at Nature’s Nook, engaging with visitors, organizing merchandise, and supporting our mission.

    Perks of Volunteering:

    • Connect with fellow nature enthusiasts.
    • Contribute to a vibrant community space.
    • Enjoy the serene surroundings of the refuge.
    Qualifications
    • Training provided. Retail experience a plus
    • bilingual a plus

    FREQUENCY: 1 day a week

    DAYS NEEDED: Sunday-Saturday Starting in September

    LOCATION: Laguna Atascosa NWR Visitor Center

    Hi FLANWR, for me i want to see if i could help volunteer for both Nature’s Nook & feed the birds on Sundays since that’s when I’m mostly available, and also if i could help with Ocelot Conservation Day too (as the mascot) (i have experience since i was a high school mascot too) and i would love to do Nature’s Nook since I love wildlife & have great knowledge of it.
